Springfield Commonwealth Academy has launched a redesigned website—a signal of the school’s continued investment in its community and its commitment to practicing what it teaches.
We Teach AI. We Used It to Build This.
SCA’s academic program is built around the idea that AI is a powerful tool when paired with critical thinking and human judgment. So when it came time to rebuild the school’s website, the team took the same approach.
The site was developed through a disciplined collaboration between SCA’s development team and AI tools—the same rigorous, iterative process the school asks of its students. Research, review, test, refine. Every architectural decision and design choice went through human judgment.
As Head of School Beth Moriarty writes in her letter to the SCA community:
“Our students engage in a dynamic academic environment that blends AI-integrated learning with critical thinking and real-world application.”
This website is that philosophy put into practice.
A Calendar That Works on Your Phone
The old calendar required families to download PDF files to view upcoming events. PDFs don’t work well on phones, they can’t be searched, and they pull you away from the site.
The new interactive calendar is built directly into the website. Browse by month, filter by category, and tap any event for details—on any device, without downloading anything.
What’s Ahead
The new site is a foundation, not a finish line. Site search, expanded program pages, and new community tools are in the works. We welcome feedback from families, students, and alumni as the site continues to grow.
