Springfield Commonwealth Academy is proud to announce the launch of SCA Soccer under the direction of new Head Coach Mauricio Coimbra. Originally from Uruguay, Coach Coimbra trained at the academy of Club Nacional de Football and was recognized at the national level as a Pre-National Team player.
His professional playing career spans Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay, and the United States — including time with Western United Pioneers, now part of USL League Two. Since 2016, he has helped build the Pioneers into one of the strongest rising programs in the region.
At SCA, Coach Coimbra is dedicated to helping each student-athlete maximize their potential — on the field, in the classroom, and in the college recruitment process. His global experience and disciplined approach give players the tools needed to succeed at the collegiate level and beyond.
